As we come to a close at the end of the year, I find it helpful to think over all the huge things that have happened. What I really wanted was to find a good recap of the major headlines of the year, but unfortunately none of my usual news sources provided any.
However the LA Times Headlines of the Year gives a really good overview. Their list of headlines includes the uprising in Egypt, the pulling of troops from Iraq, the killing of Osama bin Laden, the Royal Wedding and the crash of the Eurozone. I would add to their list the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the riots in England (which really, truly broke my heart).
I’m currently ruminating some more. New year is always a reflective time, and I’m reading reading reading while I have the chance on my winter break. Hopefully there will be some more insightful posts soon, including (perhaps) commentary on the parable of the lost (prodigal) son (which I have posted here) and an investigation of God’s omnipotence.
